First month without credit card

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posts and replies on here. I know it might only be a small step, but August was the first month I didn't use my credit card! Before that I was so bad I would make the minimum payment and then put £30 or so back on. Argh! I feel dead pleased with myself though!:j :j :j

Well done!!! I've been without mine for a year now and havent really missed it. I just love using cash !;) its really satisfying to know that something's actually paid for!!! I just save up for what I want and if I havent got the cash I dont have it! simple as that! :D

Of course I havent always been like that or I wouldn't be on this site! I just wish I'd done it years ago.Still better late than never! debt free in 2010!:j :j :j
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Well done :j

July was my first attempt at money saving and sticking to my budget and I was successful at that too. I actually have money set aside for christma, birthdays and haircuts now, which has never happend before.

It's a great feeling of controlling money, rather than it controlling us.

    Keep it up :D
