halifax debt passed on

Hi I am with CCCS and have never missed a payment , yesterday I recieved a letter from a firm of solicitors in Leeds I think it was Fairchild saying my debt had been passed to them , has this happened to anyone else

    This will be a Debt Collectors Agency, They may be better to work with as they are more likely to accept a payment arrangement through the CCCS. Just update your info with the CCCS and they will write to them to explain everything and make them an offer of repayment. Usually when debts are with a DCA, interest usually stops.

    Sory just re read and noticed it is solicitors, still pass on the details, it could be a fake scare solicitors which halifax use. Try finding them on the internet to see if they exist.
