Make money as a mystery shopper

I have heard that this is an extra way of making cash in your spare time. When doing a search on the net quite a few companies come up.
Just a few questions:
Whats involved?
How often do they contact you?
How much money can you make (in spare time)?
What are the best companies to use?
Thanks for your help

When I was thinking of doing this I came across this site which I found had the answer to every question you can think of, and more.
There is also a list of MS companies on this site.
Members are extremely friendly and helpful.
Initially, you'll have to decide whether you want to go S/E or PAYE
You do have to register with them, you can't just lurk.

I also pick up stuff from gapbuster, post office jobs are great as I also sell on eBay.
Affectionatley known as gutbuster on the MS forum for all the burger jobs that are available. he do get sickening very quickly.
I no longer pick up any burger jobs but wait for them to contact me with them for extra incentive, it's just not worth my petrol etc for £4.
Grass Roots are great, I get varied jobs with them and it's always at £10.There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0 -
Does anyone have any experience of eMysteryShopper.com?
And if so what are you opinons and experiences of carrying out this type of work?

Why do they ask for so much info on gapbuster.com?
SpikeyUse your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -
I'm registered with grassroots and the jobs come through in batches. I have had 7 job offers so far this week but none for the previous two weeks.
The payment takes about three weeks to hit my account, so not too bad.

From what I've read, the vast majority of the casino cashbacks don't track and you'll never see the money.
I know from experience that Paddy P pays up in about 5 weeks at cashback.co.uk and wepromiseto, although I've yet to have had a payout from either cashback site.
I would dispute that based on my own personal experience. Cashback sites contribute around £500 to my current total (of that about £300 were from casino's) and its just the two I mentioned earlier that never paid up.0 -

Has the changes regarding Supermarket visits not put you off i.e. the need to visit/report on 9 seperate departments around the store. I find the feedback sheets are so repetitive.0 -
