I dont know if this has been posted before, but I thought I better warn you.....
The OH decided to have the afternoon in the garden, and wanted some sun lotion, so i searched out some that we had left over from our hoilday last october.... 'Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Medium spf 20@, which is a transparent gel, anyways I left him to it, came back home a coule of hours later for him to be doing his 'Victor Meldrew' :rotfl:, he had put the lotion on the bits that were uncovered, and also put some on his face..... few minutes later he started feeling very odd, and a 'bit out of it'. He then read the back of the bottle, and it said that it wasnt too be used on the face as it contains 'alcohol' So of course its my fault! lol.... must admit I have never heard of anyone being tipsy on sun lotion :rotfl:
Shouldnt really laugh, as I suppose it could be dangerous, if applied to a child, so if this hasnt been posted before..... please make sure you read the directions on the back of all sun lotion just in case

Aww poor OH!
I have a live condition which means that even topical alcohol (such as perfume, skin toner etc) can make me ill and cause problems for me.
The other week a shower gel I got for my OH for excema made me ill (when I looked it turned out it had alcohol in it!).
So it makes sense that a sun cream containing it could have an effect, after all lots of medicines are given topically.I have realised I will never play the Dane!
Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!!

I think a lot of people are fine with alcohol in products and don't notice it at all but I am super sensitive and it doesn't make life fun sometimes!

I still forget to check and then discover to my cost later (ie the shower gel)
Alcohol is used more frequently than you'd think, and I can only wear perfume oils now. It took me years to realise it was my perfume that was making me feel ill all day after a night out!
Hope your OH feels better soon and don;t be too hard on yourself for laughing at him! my OH still giggles at me for having a hangover from shower gel!
I have realised I will never play the Dane!
