Iam currently seeing a therapist for anxiety disorder issues and am on Incapacity Benefits.
During these sessions we have identified that Iam much better working for myself, rather than an employer as this seems to sit well with my personality.
I have mostly been self-employed in the past anyway so am not new to it. I guess I've never liked been told what to do anyhow as it seems to run in the family.
Anyone else identify with this?

Most of the drivers in haulage. I'm the same. I don't mind contact with people at work or even doing odd shifts but working with the same people week in, week out - not really. Its not that I've always been like that - I used to be in the Forces - its just the way I've turned out.0

Definatly not alone. I dont suffer social anxiety but I get irritated easily by colleagues and my natural personality is to be outspoken and assertive - which doesnt always end up in the best situation as you can be seen as a trouble maker. I have worked at self employment and found some success, but not generated enough of an income to make it a viable option. At the same time, I dont like lonely jobs such as nightwatch security guard.0
