Protected trust deed advice

HI everyone! Firstly can I say what a fantastic site this is! Thank you everyone!

I'm sorry if this is in the worng place, feel free to move it!

I'm looking for a bit of advice about protected trust deeds, more to the point what happens after!
I signed my trust deed 5 years ago, so it was cleared just over 2 years ago. Obviously I am still being refused for credit etc, which doesn't bother me becasue I don't want any credit cards or loans! Where my problem is, is that I am really really unhappy in the house I rent from the council. Becasue I am single with no kids neither the council or any housing associations will do much to help me (other than put me to the bottom of a very very long list) so all I can do is buy......which is where the problem is!

I just wondered if there was anyone who has been in my position, and what did they do? I really feel stuck and I've no idea what to do! I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel!

I have no deposit saved. I don't know if it makes a difference but I live in Scotland.

Thanks in advance!!
I can't look into the future, but the futures where I'm walking to

i dont know much about scotland but in england a good (10% ) deposit really, really helps to get a mortgage.

why not post your SoA and maybe people can help you to find some savings to help towards that deposit.

Thanks Clapton, but I really need a quicker fix, I am saving but any sort of decent deposit takes time. The area I live in is really bad.......quality of life is suffering and I need to get out quicker.

  • Hi Clara381,

I am still in my trust deed but has your td definately been discharged? I have heard that this mortgage company:- http://www.gmacrfc.co.uk/render.aspx?siteID=1&navIDs=1,3,18 can help people with mortgages for people who have been in trust deeds. I don't know how correct that is but it may be worth a try!?!

    Hope this helps.
