Which bills will go up because of the rise in VAT and which will stay the same?

if you mean utility type bills...
there is no VAT on water
VAT on domestic fuel (electricity and gas) is a a special rate of 5% and I haven't seen any plans to change this
Council tax is a tax in its own right so no VAT on it
The main change will be to mobile phones, broadband and landline phones - they all have standard VATIndecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Added to that, all of your insurance premiums have Insurance Premium Tax. Like VAT but at a rate of 5%. This will increase to 6%.

Home building and contents Insurance
