hi guys, im a very very newbie. and im very fed up aswell!
weve got a secure loan for 37000 and an unsecured one for 4000. our mortgage is just over 75000 and we have no savings.
my husband works full time and i work part time as we have two children. we constantly have no money each month and are at our over draft limit month in month out. my husband also has a delivery job at night and i work in a pub a few nights a week. i am also applying for christmas jobs at the minute to work at weekends.
its getting to the stage that im wondering about doing things like going for a dancing job to make a bit of money, and lying to my husband about it.
i saw an article on here yesterday, somebody mentioning about writing stories 50 words £50 and 100 words £100 and im wonderin about looking into that if i can find details. (but i cant find the article what was written now!)
im at the end of my fraid rope guys and i need some major advice.
please help guys, im in such a state that im thinking of lying to my husband. ive even thought about selling myself for heavens sake.
please help

You need to be honest with your husband and work things out together. Post a SOA which southernscoucer explains in a sticky at top of thread. Welcome and well done on posting.Amazon No:170

Welcome, noggin.
I have no time for anything more than a big *huuuug*, as I just reloaded the page before logging off. Early to rise means early to bed, alas. But I second dawn2dusk's suggestion: post an SOA with your income and all your outgoings (including interest rates on the debts) so that the MSE peeps can help you to find some ways to cut back and start paying off those debts.
I was cut out to be rich, but got sewn up wrong.0 -
In a similar situation myself, loads of mortgage, c/card and personal loan debt. About to go to court with Nat West. As far as ways of making money - DON'T YOU DARE LIE TO YOUR FELLA !
Think about it, debt AND guilt ? You really want that ? Nothing worse than leading a double life.
I admire you both for the amount of hours you're putting in but I know it's hard with children at home as well. I live in Bournemouth but have spent most of the last 2 years working in London. My 5yr daughter broke both her arms on bank holiday Monday and I've only been able to see her once :-( .
As far as earning money is concerned alot of people are looking into job share, or work they can do from home, sometimes IT based, some Party Plan or Piece Work (be carefull if you look down that route, some need ask for money up front and disappear after you've paid-out).
Personaly, I've gone down the home based IT route, flexible, loads of support etc. I can earn wether I'm In Bournemouth with my little one or up in London. Didn't know a thing at first but found it easy to pick up after a while.
Keep it real mate but most of all, DON'T KEEP SECRETS FROM YOUR OTHER HALF !
If you want to chat more of see if what I'm doing could suit, drop a line.
Happy hunting,
good luck

okay, roughly its as follows:
incomings- 2200 working every hour god sends to make ends meet
ougoings, monthly- 517 mortgage, 543 loan payments, 82 council tax, 728 other bills (bt, internet, vodafone, water, electric, gas, etc etc etc) travelling to work 40, petrol 160-200
=2070-2110
so we literally have 90-130ish to live off a month. which is just impossible with two kids-one starting school in a few weeks (cant afford uniform-dont know what were going to do) and the other 7months old, needing baby milk, baby food, nappies etc. also we need our every day food shopping aswell obviously. i try to spend no more then 50 a week, inc baby milk, nappies etc, but even on that tight budget were still around 100 over what we have available.
our over draft limit is 1500, which it is constantly at, and obvioulsy each month we struggle to make the mortgage payment as the outgoings have been more then the incomings each time. so each month we spend at least 100-150 more then we can afford. so each month we struggle to pay the mortgage-somehow wee always manage it but eventually were going to run out of options.
ive already had to empty the kids savings to pay the mortgage before. weve no spare money left at all anywhere.
please help guys. alot of desperate things have crossed my mind-dancing jobs, egg donating, even prostetution. im so desperate.0 -

any info would be great bb,
many-a-thanks mate

Hello noggin
Firstly welcome to the forum. I hope you find some relief in knowing you are not alone.
By looking at your SOA, the £728 needs to be broken down and accounted for. I presume (apologies if wrong) that you consolidated previously. In order to move forward you need to get the best deals for your bills and then plan how you spend the rest of your money. A spending dioary may help you in seeing where you 'leak' money.
Anyway, try to pinpoint where the £728 goes, as well as the 90-130ish, that needs accounting too and then we can see how you can make some savings.
You are at the right place hunLeason learnt :beer:0 -
Hey Noggin, and welcome.
Don't despiar people on here will be able to help you. Firslt it sounds like you and hubby are working yourselves into the ground as it is, with two kids as well! The best thing to do first is to try and cut your spends as much as possible, this doens't neccessarily mean making sacrifices. For example I recently, tahnks to inspiration from this site convinced NTL to cut my charges, saving me over £30 a month, and have just cut my gas charges by £36 a month. Have same services but more money to pay debts. Thats why it would really help if you could list all your outgoings, bills, food, clothes, car tax/repairs etc etc every little thing into monthly amounts. There is a sticky post at the top of the board which will explain this more. You'll be amazed how much the posters on here can pick holes at and find savings for you. Until you know exacltly where you money goes you can't get control.
I use a spreadsheet to help me and know to the penny how much I can spend each week, and how much debt I can pay, as circumstances change I use the spreadsheet to help me recalculate. Trust me things like this do actually help.
Good luck, don't despair, keep posting and you'll get there.
