I was expecting Rawtenstall when I opened the thread and saw ELR mentioned, which isn't exactly worth visiting except for ELR - the other attraction there is a pub that doesn't serve beer! I've not been to Bacup and the only time I've heard of it on the news is when crimes have been comitted, except for once when they mentioned that they have one of the shortest streets in the world there.

Neither can I. I used to work in Rossy, and I used to call it Royston Vasey - "you will never leave"..... ;) but in the end, I did!

I must admit on reading your links it doesn't look too good, but if you googlemap the actual cottages and then look at street view they're quite remote and away from the town itself... I'll bow to your inside knowledge but they look OK - perhaps you can lock yourself away, keep the chavs out, or watch them from the "Juliet balcony that looks out onto the skyline of the extensive Pennine Lancashire Moors"

Don't want to hotlink the streetview, so just enter OL13 9UT into googlemaps, pick up the little yellow guy and put him on the street...
