You have only just worked out that paying £2.05 every day for a cup of coffee is not worth it? Assuming you have 1 cup every working day for 48 weeks of the year, you spend nearly £500 on coffee every year... That is 10 weeks shopping budget (even if we do always go over it :P) for me and my family.
I wouldn't quite say that "I've only just worked it out" - I've just always justified it in the same way that sometimes I like to go to a restaurant rather than eat at home.
I could make my own coffee, but I don't have the equipment/ability to make myself a nice latte at 10am when I'm at work, just when I fancy it!0 -
How much does a latte machine cost?

You can make a big jar of coffee last months? Amazing. I think mine last about two weeks.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Well, I'm not a coffee drinker so not really sure.
I took a stab guess at it.
How many cups do you think a big jar of coffee would make?
1 cup per day for 5 days a week, means 20 cups per month.
2 months would make 40 cups.
Does a big jar of coffee make less than 40 cups of coffee?:wall:

Haha. I guess if he wanted to still spend the same amount, he could be buzzing all day long instead of just in the mornings

A dedicated coffee drinker with the facilities is unlikely to stop at one a day.
I decided to take a break (sounds less final than ''give up'') from coffee on Saturday.0 -

Not denying that they may want more than one cup per day, but then the comparison to the earlier post of costing £2.05 each morning would then have to be reflected in the multiple cups:wall:

I get what yur saying, its absolutely correct...but in practise ..a bought coffee over the road has got to be worth two-three cups of instant at the desk....in coffee terms. Instant would still work out cheaper though.
to the coffee drinker, there are also those shake in the cup ones, you can buy in multi packs, you don't need water or a kettle- it sounds as if facilities were an issue?, just the ability to shake them. Not sure how much they are though..0
