Greetings Forumers,
I have a bad credit history and need money as soon as possible, so I am considering to borrow money from a provident, mutual or shopacheck, but I need a total of £1000 for a period of 51 weeks. I have no problem of paying about £35 a week, and most likely I'll be able to pay the full amount within 4 moths. But because I have never borrowed money from any of those companies I can only borrow up to £500. So my question is can I borrow money from two different providents or provident and a mutual at the same time? Would they mind?
Thank you for your answers in advance!

I have a feeling that you can get by without this - either lend from family, sell some things or do without for a bit.
You will end up paying more than double what you borrowed, and that's assuming you actually pay for the full year.0 -
What do you need the money for?
Are you on any benefits?
Are there any benefits you should be receiving but aren't?
Are there any charities that you may be able to get grants from?
Can you cut down your outgoings instead?Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

hullight - they have their own debts to worry about and in fact I'm sending money to them myself every month, so that is not an option unfortunately. And I don't want to burden my family with my problems, my problems are my problems. Don't even have anything I can sell, the only valuable things in my possession are my laptop (maybe £200), netbook (maybe £250) and a cell phone (around £200), but I need them all for work. I do realize that I will pay twice more, but I have given it a good long thought and I'm totally fine with that.

I need the money for my medical treatment it is almost £2500 I have to come up with in in a short time.
No I'm not on benefits, I work full-time and able to support myself very well
No benefits I could be receiving whatsoever, I work and earn well, I hardly pay any rent, I am single, healthy 23y.o. male.
I don't think I can get any money from charities, not my style, let others try that, I will survive.
Cutting down my outgoings... not much to cut down on. I am saving £700 per month already but I am sending £300 to my family from that and my budget is perfectly planned, I could save extra £75 that I spend on weekends, but I am not a robot, I have to relax after a working week.
But the question still remains: Is it possible two borrow from 2 providents at the same time? Would they mind?0 -
The answer to your question is no you cannot lend from two Provident areas at the same time.0

Why do you need £2500 for medical treatment? Have you never heard of the NHS?0

You need the money for medical treatment yet your a healthy 23 year old?! Can it not be done on the NHS?! If not and it is your choice to have the surgery then save up for it.0 -
There are several 'doorstep lenders' - more than you have mentioned.
But I think the question we are all asking is whether it is wise for you to be borrowing money at 200-400% APR0
