Morning All.
Looking actively for work after finished my degree.
Does the job-market normally pick up in September? Have this feeling that September normally is a time when employment sector pick up.
May be wrong...
Thank you.

Not usually, but the number of those seeking work at that time does increase."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100

September is the time when a lot of Christmas temp jobs are advertised even if they don't actually start until October or later. Those vacancies get advertised and then filled very quickly so you need a plan of action to check all the main retailers recruitment sites regularly.
As they are temp jobs they are generally easier to get than permanent jobs. They will give you 2-3 months income and some experience on your CV. As I know from personal experience they can lead to permanent jobs.
Even if you don't want a retail type job long term they are good to tide you over and you can still look for graduate jobs, generally you only have to give 1 weeks notice for temp jobs.0 -
Not meaning to sound harsh, but many companies looking for graduates will open applications for NEXT year's graduates in September.
However, you're still considered a recent graduate for three years, so you can still apply and find something to fill in the meantime. Such as a Christmas temp job for example

Remember you don't have to just concentrate on just graduate jobs as you are narrowing your scope if so. Take a look at other jobs that can get your foot in the door way, and build up some experience - this can be more than valuable than many graudate schemes offered in some cases.!"£$%^&*()0
