If you do get bitten I can recommend a little gadget called a Zapper- they are on sale in Superdrug at present.( and other places such as mail order) It contains a piezo spark- and you click the thing on the bit at least 5 times as soon as you realise they have munched you! Must not be used with spirit based repellant for obvious reasons! If you act quickly enough it seems to stop the histamine reaction and the bite completely disappears. I have used one for years and keep one in the car, one in the bag etc!
:rotfl:
Yep Marmite is rich in B12 - hate the stuff but would do it again as it worked so well. Brewers yeast tablets or a B12 supplement would be effective too and maybe not so yucky if you don't like Marmite.
Love the sound of that zapper gadget! I think I may need to get one fo those - roughly any idea how much they cost? One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
http://www.mosi-guard.com/ Mosi Guard is supposed to be one of the best natural repellents.
I used mosi-guard on holiday last year in Kenya and didn't get bitten once. Kenya is a malarial area so insect repellant is a must and this one is even sold in local chemists there so must be recognised as effective.
I used it again last month in Crete - again no bites - but someone in a resturant stopped me as I passed their table and asked me what the lovely perfume was I was wearing, so you may attract more than just insects0 -
Have just lokked at Superdrug's website and they are not there! In store last week all the insect bite things were 3 for the price of 2, I don't know if the promo is still on. I think the zapper is around £5 or £6- it is a little orange & black device. It really is money well spent if you are plagued by bites ( the horrors love me) mine is world travelled!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Amazon sell them too - they seem to be around £5 - £6."I'm not a one-trick pony. I'm not a ten-trick pony. I'm a whole field of ponies - and they're all literally running towards this job."
