Should I include details of job left through sickness?

I know this is a tricky subject:o...basically I REALLY want to get back into work having been off sick for a couple of years, I now feel ready and have the strength to at least give it my best shot.:j
My problem is I've seen a few jobs I want to apply for but I'm nervous about applying as I left my last job through ill-health after being mis-sold the job!:(
So my predicament is this, should I include my last job details or should I "forget" about that one (I was there 3 months not counting time receiving SSP).
It was only part-time and I was raising a family alongside, so I could use this as my reason for being out of employment.
I know it's ethically dodgy, but I don't want to lose out on the chance of employment due to a bad period in my life
Any advice appreciated
thanks in advance

I think that unless you are needing the reference, or the experience within your application/CV probably best to drop it.
Who's gonna know? Unless there is a slight chance that someone at the new company was once at the old one......0 -
I think it really depends too on any health related questions (now or later in the application process), and how likely it may be that you get caught in a lie about your health (which is actually what we are talking about here - you don't want to tell them that you have been ill for so long). If you get a job, return to work, and then your health problems emerge again, they may get into a situation of asking for a doctors report and it may not be wise to get caught having lied about your health. On the flip side, it sounds as though this may be a condition which qualifies under the Disability Discrimination Act - and if so and you withhold the information, then your employer can't be held responsible under it. So I think you need to consider carefully the pro's and con's of being truthful about your health, because there are up sides and down sides to whatever you may choose to do.0

ok next question
....
If I "forget" the job I left through sickness, my "last" job I left in spring 2007 - the new job employer wants 2 references :S any ideas?
job application states 1 of which must be present/most recent employer0 -
2 points. If you left your previous job in the current tax year, then your P45 may out you. And your reference may out you if they can say you left to go and work for XXX.
