Help needed - Agency worker rights to redeployment

I need some urgent advise please folks. I have worked for a local council via their inhouse temporary staffing agency. I was a Project Assistant for 5 months 3 weeks and then a Project Officer for almost a year - this was basically a change in job title to suit.

I was given a weeks notice last week and want to know whether I have redeployment rights ?

No. Some councils set these agencies up, but by no means all. They are wordly wise. You gain no employment rights. I am afraid that you have become a victim of clever employers combined with government cuts. Sorry but you are not going to qualify for redeployment.

No. You are an agency worker. Your contract of employment lasts only as long as the placement. It has ended, so has your contract.
