Debt Sold On and Raking up the past

Hi experts,
I got a letter from a debt collection agency saying they had bought my debt from a utility company I owed money to prior to bankruptcy, and they wanted it repaid, and I should phone them immediately.
I phoned them and said that was six years ago, and this came under the bankruptcy six years ago, which was discharged after a year.
She said if I don't hear from them again in 14 days to forget it.
My question is, should I send this letter to the Court Solicitors even though my case was discharged in 2006, or do I just forget it?
