RCM Bailiffs?

I'm in desperate need of some advice for my friend plz guys?
A postcard from 'RCM' came through her door (she lives at home with parents) to state they were visiting the property.
No record of this company or their telephone number can be found so she has no idea what debt this relates to!
What can she do?

Many thanks! :)
I've got nothing else but I've got my family.

From what I've found on the internet, RCM are a debt collection agency based in Liverpool. They are NOT bailiffs and cannot enter your friend's property without an invitation. Tell her not to ring them but to send them this letter...

Their address is RCM UK Ltd
    Victoria House
    23 South Road
    Waterloo, Liverpool. L22 5PE

It may be worth her sending the "Prove-it" letter at the same time

With thanks, as always, to Never-in-Doubt :T

And tell her not to panic and not to engage with these people at the door if they do turn up. Which they probably won't anyway. They have NO legal powers, tell them if they don't leave, the police will be called.

  • Thank you so much Barbiedoll! That's brilliant, it'll help put her parents minds at rest, too.

It's hard enough dealing with my own, rather confusing debts, let alone my friends, who has bipolar and whose debts make even less sense!

Your help, and that of all MSErs, is invaluable!

    Thanks again!:j
