the lowest iva accepted with loan and credit card companies

Options
having probs getting a 14% iva accepted and have been told that some companies are only accepting 30% on all IVA's.

This seems to contradict what IVA's where set up to do...aparantly each case is supposed to be looked on an individual case and judged on its merits....and so if the big clearing comanies are saying a blanket 30% is needed to get these through there is no point in having the law......how much was yours acepted for...and any tips to get some of the larger creditors on side

From my experience 14% is a very low offer and is unlikely to be accepted. I hope youre not with anyone who's charging you upfront for this?

I know for a fact that the Student Loan company will automatically turn down anything less than 40% and HSBC anything less than 35%.

Perhaps you could get a DMP organised with Payplan or CCCS and look at an IVA further down the line if you circumstances change.

    Good luck.
