Hello all,
My husband and I are going to stay in a self catering cottage in Advent near Camelford in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone can advise on inexpensive places to go, especially if the weather is bad. We had planned to cycle some of the camel trail (we will be taking our own bikes so shouldn't cost us anything) and have a look around Padstow and Wadebridge while we are there. Thought we may go to Boscastle and visit the Witchcraft museum (although haven't been able to find prices for this). Also would love to visit St Nectans Glen but not sure if the weather is bad but it looks very nice. I have considered buying 1 or 2 trails from https://www.treasuretrails.co.uk. Has anyone used these before?
We are interested in going to the camel valley winery in Bodmin for a tour and maybe some wine tasting.
Any feedback on any of the above mentioned places or any tipe on any other places would be much appreciated.
We don't really fancy the Eden Project or the lost gardens of Heligan as we aren't really plant people (and I'm sure they are very expensive too).
Any good places to eat?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

It is a very long time since I went to Camelford, but I seem to remember that Tintagel was not too far away. It would also be worth looking at the thread Pavlov's Dog started on holidays in Cornwall as she was prepared to go all over (and had a lovely time, as I hope you do!)Signature removed for peace of mind0
