Ok hope this makes sense! Imagine your foot ( we will go with the left!) at the bottom onyour ankle meeting your foot towards the outer bit of your foot i have a dry patch of skin..it is like it on both feet. I thought there was some sort of bone there tbh but can't feel anything. Thing is now it is flip flop weather it looks awful and due to me being pale it is noticable...if i do get some colour it colours darker and stands out either way. I have been putting cream on for weeks now and also added suncream during the day and it is not getting any better. I tried the other night to rub it with like a pummace thing and ended up cutting my ankle sigh!
I will do pic tom id no one gets what i mean but it is annoying me now.
Any super duper creams or remedys for very dry patches?!
Thanks x

You could try soaking in an oil overnight then scrubbing with a body scrub when you wash your feet the next morning (to wash the oil off). Then add an aqueous cream. Aqueous creams make a sort of film over the skin, meaning moisture finds it hard to leave the skin and the skin doesn't dry as easily. You'd really need to do that for a few weeks for it to get rid of the dry skin patch though as the skin on your feet is quite thick and it may take a while to get any moisture through all the layers. I have skin issues on my feet at the moment and am just learning this! (Skin on my legs reacts within days to prescribed creams, even hours, skin on my feet...weeks!!)
Another option is to have nightly foot baths and then apply/massage well a body butter to keep in the moisture and add more. Or better yet, a specialised foot cream which may be denser and better for the type of skin which is on the feet.
Failing that you could try a specialised foot person.
If it itches, weeps or spreads, go to your doctor as it could be a recognised skin issue which you could get treatment for and get rid of quickly.0 -
Good old Vaseline, slather it on and put some thin cotton socks on overnight.
Cures all ills, does Vaseline.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Try maybe going to something like neals yard or Napiers or some other herbalist. They have some nice quality creams. Or you could soak your feet and then apply something to help stop moisture loss. Something with lots of bee's wax would be good. Comped also have some products to help.0
