Sometimes I feel that I'd rather kill myself than go through another DLA assessment. I was awarded LRC and HRM on an indefinite award earlier this year, and had hoped that would be the end of it. I really can't do this again. :(

Overall the only thing that will affect my (disabled) wife and (healthy) me is the VAT increase - so we will have to spend a little less - so what? Not a big deal.

The three REALLY BIG items that people seems to have (generally) missed noticing is (a) 25% cut to money from central to local government, (b) the rule that no Council Tax can increase and
    (c) the Spending Review promised for 20 October.

God help us all - this government is clearly hell-bent on robbing Robin Hood to pay the Sheriff of Nottingham - ConDemNation is the best new word I have heard for years.

I only wish that my wife was healthy then we would emigrate.

JTO: but where would you emigrate to? Some other countries that Brits usually go to are in just as dire a financial situation as we are?

Australia and Canada are in a much healthier state than we are financially.
