in Cutting tax
Hi,
I am about to start a PhD, so I am not going to have any taxable income and I am not going to use any of my tax allowances. My wife is (still) going to work. Is there a good way to save on tax (that my wife is paying) in this situation?

No - you can't port / share allowances, which is predominantly what you're asking?
But you can put all Savings into your name and save on tax that way?If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
