Hello :O)

I'm struggling to decide what on earth to do for the best. I've been on here for a while but things always keep changing and i'm so confused. Been speaking to CCCS but our amount left each month, is pretty much the same as the minimums on our debts so I don't know what to do for the best.

I think this is mainly due to all the fab advice on here I am super MSE :money:so I won't post my SOA. As I was speaking to CCCS I missed a couple of payments but dont think that is a major deal in the scheme of things. Hopefully DH will get a job soon so our situation will improve and things wont be so tight. Has anyone had any luck with creditors agreeing to token payments for 6 months?

Our options are -

1/DMP even tho figs are similar.
2/catch up missed payments and continue as normal paying minimums
3/do temp token payment plan for 6 months and review

Any advice greatly appreciated please. :o

If you are making the minimum repayments, chances are your creditors won't stop intrest

If you have missed payments/defaults they may agree to reduced payments

Are you using your MSE SOA, or the one allowed, in some areas they can differ;)

:D yes I have done that and noticed the figures were alot higher. I've kept it to a happy medium :)

Do creditors accept the 6 month token payment thing? Is it worth doing?

    There are no guarntees,
they may hold intrest for 3 months if you explain you are having difficulty

If going through CCCS you have a better chance of things being accsepted
It is a judgement call to be made by you,
but my feeling is go with CCCS guidline figures, if you can't make minimum repayments on that,
then get them involved, and then use your MSE SOA to live in, the extra save and make F&Fs when you have the funds
