swine flu jab

I know this isn't news atm, but my 10 month old DS has been called up to have his swine flu jab.
Is there still controversy regarding it?
I'm surprised they are still doing it, we seem to have stopped worrying the worlds population is going to mostly die off.
I would like some reasonable advice please. I'm not sure about it, my OH doesn't worry, I see it as a pointless exercise, almost no one dies and isn't a natural immunity better than being given one?
Also I don't agree with medication for things where you will get better naturally.
But I'm worried I will make the wrong decision.

They have a huge stockpile of the stuff through criminal overordering.
The 'advisors' who drew up the response to swine flu had financial contacts with the companies that made the vaccine.

Even at it's height, I wouldn't have the jab and I wouldn't allow my kids to have it. I certainly wouldn't have it now.How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
well luckily, the second peak of swine flu didn't come - there often is a second sweep with pandemics and i personally think that not getting enough vaccine in to cover that would have been a massive risk!
i guess with my bus journey to work, near A&E and not the nicest area, i'd gladly have the vaccine as the chance of catching something through contact with just lots of people was high. but for other people, the risk would be much greater. from the evidence i've seen, the risk from the vaccine is minimal but it's all about individual choice - i'd suggest you have a chat with your GP or nurse practioner and see what they say. i don't think 'natural immunity' is the way to go with diseases when there are proven vaccines, especially with a small baby, but again, that's my personal opinion on it!
FWIW, there are still people being reported with the virus in various countries around the world, but nothing like at the levels of last year:
