Quick money making tips pls

Hi

I now need to clear my 2.5k of debt asap. Reasons being, wanting to move to a bigger house and I will need to pay towards mortgage/ wanting to start a family next yr/ possibly reducing hours at work

aaaggghhh, am so fustrated

I have worked out what I pay out and what I earn and i should be mega rich but it never works out like that does it ?

Plus I am having to save £150 towards our honeymoon spends in Florida at xmas. This is in a ING account accruing 4.75% interest.

In:
£955

Out:

£150 to hubby for my share of utility bills
£15 phone
£60 pension
£17 Life Insurance (This has just changed now i'm married)
£21 Dog insurance (£10.50 each dog)
£150 ING Florida account

Food is split between us and I know this can be reduced so will try and curb tesco shops, to be honest ist the only place I shop apart from Superdrug. If i buy clothes I go to Matalan.

Debt:
Next £400 pay £50 a month high apr.
Virgin CC £950 pay £50 month this was £150 until I started to save for Florida. Interest added is about £14 a month, dont know apr yet.
Mint £1500 pay £50 a month this is at 0%

I was paying more on the cc's but I have to make sure I have enough money in the bank for food etc.

I cant transfer anymore onto Mint as the limit isnt high enough. Mint said I can increase that in a couple of months time.

Shall I try and get another 0% card for Virgin and Next ? I have good credit history, I am a bit of a credit card tart!

Shall I get a Saturday job ? Used to work at Boots on saturdays when I owed my Mum some money. My wages went straight into her bank.

I dont have anything to sell on Ebay I'm afraid. We did a car boot a few months ago and everything I had sold then.

I did start a spending diary last month but kept forgetting to write down everything!

What do you think ?

I'm fustrated cos now its holding me back. Its debt from years ago plus wedding stuff and house stuff as we have just got wed and er done our house up !!!!

Thank-You

ps before you all berrate me for going to Florida, we stay in my parents house for free, Dad is paying for flight and theme park pass. I have to pay towards car hire, food, petrol, and Discovery Cove ticket.

what utility bills does the £150 cover?
  • Not sure if it helps but if you book at https://www.discoverycove.com or call them on the freephone number and quote "return" you can get $50 off the price.

In terms of the other stuff I'm sure someone will be along to help soon.

£150 is for 50% of council tax, water, gas, leccy, sky,

Hubby is debt free so I'm not going to get him to cancel sky, plus its the only thing we do , sad but true !

I'm am in between possibly changing supplier of leccy and gas, but it wont save much.

I cant really reduce the £150 as I'm not paying enough towards the utility bills as it is.
