Could someone direct me to a site where I can get a decent/cheap battery charger for size C batteries. I also need 6 Size C NiCad batteries.
I have found 7 day shop which I think are very reasonable. Any others?
Thanks

I use AA's in everything but have adapters from maplins that enable my AA's to fit C's and D's
Maplin have an offer at mo of 4 X 2000mah NiMh AA's with a fast charger (normally £29.99) but now £14.99 and are offering a free set of adapters (4Xc) and (4XD)
order code... N65BN
A cracking deal

Thanks both of you.
I am particualrly impressed with the Maplin charger, thanks mhutchuk.
Don't Maplin send money off vouchers sometimes? I recall receiving some ages ago when I first subscribed.something missing0 -
Theres usually a click through on their site for some vouchers.
I normally use 7dayshop for batteries but the Maplin offer is pretty good

I bought the battery converters from Maplin mentioned above but I am having problems with them.
The batteries are charging fine but when I put 6 of then into C sized converters and put them into my cd-radio-alarm clock they are running out INCREDIBLY QUICKLY. Don't get me wrong I was dubious how an A sized battery could power something requiring C or D sized batteries but I was assured by Mhutchuk comments.
I played a CD for about 20 seconds to see that they worked - they did.
I then left it overnight just powering the clock and by the time I woke up the clock was very feint and it would not play the CD or radio.
I know the batteries have power in them because they do work with equipment requiring A sized batteries.
Was I really daft to expect anything from these converters or am I missing something?
Could anyone comment, especially Mhutchuksomething missing0 -
I use AA's as C's in my kids Early Learning Centre tape player and they seem to run fine. Still seem to charge as often as the old NiCad C's I use to use.
Wouldn't have thought just a clock would drain power THAT quickly ?? Seems a bit odd for a clock to have that kind of current draw
