Unbelievable - sold an old bike yesterday for £20 through the local paper - guy had a good look at it, rode it around a bit, ummed and ahhed, said he'd have to go and check with his wife, so I agreed to come down from £30 to £20 and in the end he handed over the cash and off he went.

Tonight he phones up and says its too small for his wife, can he have his money back! When I was reluctant (polite but firm refusal) he said I was a mean, greedy and horrible person all for £20! The whole point was I wanted rid of it to get some space back in my garage!

It no wonder we need a consumer website when people can't even negotiate a simple deal like that and stick to it!

I sold an old laptop for a £5 Sat and Sun at 10am the bloke was knocking on the door asking if I had a manual for it. 'No' was the answer.

So he asked if he could have £2 refund?!?!!!!
