Right, sorry if I'm reviving an old thread, but I found something that's totally free (at the expence of looking slightly odd), which will temporarily help to reduce some hayfever symptoms (mainly in the nose), but as I said - it cost's NOTHING and I hope it works with more people than just myself. I'm not sure if this has been "discovered" before, so I thought I'd mention it just in case as I get really bady hayfever (even on antihistamines) and this helps me to relax for a while.

Basically, when you are sneezing your head off, or your nose just feels like a baloon after a sneezing fit, take a finger and place it on the bridge of your nose, roughly where the bone part ends and the Gristle begins. Apply a VERY light pressure (basically just use the weight of your finger on your nose, with perhaps a SLIGHT pressure - do not push as it will hurt eventually). Give it some time (about a minute) and then see how you feel (nasally). You may get a slightly odd sensation in your nose, but to be honest it's better than the stuffy / swolen sensation you probably already have. With me in about 1 minute my nose is no longer running and I can breathe normally out of it without sneezing.

I cannot garantee this will work for everyone, but it'd be great to hear back from anyone that it works for. :)

As I said at the start, it may make you look like a bit of a weirdo, but who cares if it makes you feel better - even for only a short time.

I am soon going to purchase some "breathe-right anti snoring strips" to see if they can be used for a more permenant solution ... but I also want to get in touch with some medical guru's to find out if prolonged pressure in this area could be harmful or not - though this may take some time to come to some solid results. In the meantime, I hope this tip helps some people to get a break from their symptoms :-)
