HIya thanks for the piccy.
They look great.
Sorry if you have posted this elsewhere but which place did you get them from? Was it Landy/Milly?
How did you go about it? did you get a swatch first and did you pick a size or go with measurements to make to fit?
I am considering placing an order anyday so would appreciate all the help you can give? xx:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

Sorry I haven't got back sooner, we stayed on to do some wedding stuff!
As Linda has said before the fabric quality probably isn't as good as the original may have been but it's not shoddy by any means,
Oo Sal I didn't say this about your frock in particular, it is in many dresses in general.
The original gown will more than likely have been made using a silk tulle. Silk fabrics have totally different properties to synthetic fabrics. They drape and fall very differenly. This is why sometimes the end product doesn't fall or fit as nicely as the original. I think you have done very well and the girls are more than happy which is the main thing. It's a lovely colour and I'm sure when everything is together you will all look super.
I don't want anyone to think I have a downer on any offshore providers. I just like people to get what it says on the tin and when someone hasn't a great understanding of fabrics, this can quite often be the disappointing factor.

Sorry Linda, I was quoting generally but it was at the end of a very long day and I perhaps wasn't as clear as I could have been.
The point about them falling differently is in fact the point I was very clumsily trying to make. You can see that they have used a different fabric and it is falling differently but overall the quality is good and the girls feel comfortable in them, having read up lots on dresses from China we were prepared for the fact that they wouldn't be to the standard of the designer original (but then for less than a 1/3 of the price you couldn't expect that) and we are happy with them. For what they are they are good value for money.0 -

Hi Mrs. Moore to be,
this is the ebay seller we used, their feedback was good and their time scale was quicker than Landy who have the same dress on their site.
We didn't order a swatch, we asked which of their colours was closest to the colour in the picture and they told us but said they could match the colour which is what we asked them to do.
We chose to go with made to measure as we wanted the dresses knee length rather than full length and our girls are not exactly to the size guide!
The dress in the pic is a little big 'on top' as the lady measured for 'breathing room' and is pleasantly surprised that there is room to spare (she is getting the bust area altered), the second dress fits like a glove ( I took the measurements for that one:p) and we don't know about the 3rd as that girl lives away.
As I said in the post to Linda above, they're probably not designer standard but they are good dresses, well made but perhaps the finishing could have been better. We're happy and they're a good MSE buy:money:
Just be aware with this seller (and others) that the bulk of the cost is in postage so that if you do have a dispute you will lose that money as you will only get a refund for the actual selling price.
Oh, and communicate in very simple English, don't forget that English isn't their native language and sometimes things can be lost in translation. They only seemed to be able to cope with one question at a time but to be fair answered very promptly whenever we emailed them.

From a shop in Liverpool Shellsuit, I'll get the name from dd later but the diamante's are fixed in with claws. She bought them when she was bm for her sister in law and the claws pulled at the hem of the long bm dress so be aware if you're looking for yourself that claws may pull at your dress hem!0 -
They look fab! Really good copy.“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”― Shel Silverstein0
