And it looks like we did get our pay rise, despite being told it would be backdated next month!:D

That'll be the good old cost of living increase. I'm trying to work out if we had even had ours as it seems to be negligible if we have.
Have you been through the job role evaluation at your place yet mrs Archer?Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

Do not speak the phrase...
The deed has been done, some people know what is happening to them, others don't. Some of those that do are really not happy with it - I think we may be loosing some people over it - it's not been a happy process here. I think I'll come out to the good, but I'm still a little nervous (My grade currently splits two new ones - and we could go either way).FWLBM - 1st Sept 06 - Debts: around £80k (not entirely sure...:o )0 -
I think it's been a similar thing in most of the HEIs I know about. From what I've heard it's caused some real problems particularly among clerical grades.

We've not been "done" yet (as I heard it referred to not so long ago) so I have no idea how things will pan out. I'm getting a little tired of waiting!
Thread hijack over. Fab news on the rise though, all extra money is welcome I'm sure!!Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

Very much so! I think the light finally went off last night whilst doing the washing up (under the 600  Watts of kitchen lighting) - New month, new attitude I think... (Or is that hope?)
No problems about the hijack - nice to know we aren't the only ones that are, um, suffering under the process... How has what seems to be a good idea caused so much strife?FWLBM - 1st Sept 06 - Debts: around £80k (not entirely sure...:o )0
