Hi all!
i did write on here a few months back and the replies were really helpful! but i have recently found out my bonus from work is going to be a little more than i expected and i was wondering if anyone could work out how much i'll actually walk away with after all the normal deductions!
i get paid 25k per year and pay
£75 a month on my student loan
£308.60 in Tax
£176 in NI
So i start with £2083.33 and walk away with £1523.92.
I have been told recently i will be getting a 2k bonus from work - would anybody know how much of this money the student loans company will take as a repyament, I took my loan out in 1999 and i took the full amount. Also will my tax and NI be higher this month?
If anyone can help and tell me how much i would walk away with this month i would really really appriciate it!
Thanks so much
Lola

you will pay an extra
-9% on 2000 for student loan = 180
-20% extra tax i.e 20% of 2000 = 400
-either 11% or 9.4% extra NI depending upon whether you are contracted out or not so either 180 or 220
and maybe pension if the bonus is pensionable pay0 -
wow thank you!
