Question about RM 'compensation'

I'm going to sell a book on amazon marketplace that's been in storage for a few years, and hasn't been read for a while. When I looked through it, a whsmith receipt fell out from 1999, stating that it was brought for £14.99. However, obviously it's not worth that much now, so I am going to list it for £4. If it sells, and if it gets lost, can I claim back the £14.99 from the receipt or just the £4 I sell it for?

Thanks.

You would get £14.99 if you said it was sent as a gift.

An 11 year old book worth what you paid for it? I think that RM would soon see through that one. A second hand book sent through the post may well be seen to have no intrinsic value. You would probably get more quoting the Amazon value at them.
