Which lenders offer HomeBuy mortgages?

Asking for a friend.
Google has no answers 20 minutes after searching.
Their mortgage broker has told them there are only 4 companies they can go with. They've told me some other stuff about their mortgage broker (an independent guy) which makes me think he's dodgy, so want to clarify if there are more than 4 lenders that do offer Homebuy as it will give weight to my argument that he's dodgy and they should find a decent broker.
As to the dodginess they've paid a large fee to join a "remortgage club" so they won't ever have to pay lender fees when they remortgage through him again. Which sounds like papp to me.

We're based in the Midlands and it's on a new build if that sort of information defines the schemes?
not really, as you said you were using google you'll know about the different schemes by now, the search on mse will also pull up all the old threads and help you.0 -

MSE pulls up threads from 2008/09 of lenders then. No help now.
Google links to local authorities across the country which offer the scheme. They talk of the homebuy scheme and how it works, not different types. None of them have lenders listed.
If you don't know what you're looking for then to type "homebuy lenders" into both google and MSE brings nothing of use. Give it a go and learn how limited the MSE search is, and always has been, or maybe help me out if you have the information - wasting both your and my time telling me to search is pointless as I made it clear in my first post I'd done that.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Did you look here

This is for West Midlands http://www.orbithomebuyagents.co.uk/main.cfm
And for east Midlands http://www.emhomebuy.org.uk/
At least that'll give you a start0 -
From memory Halifax, Nationwide, Woolwich, C&G and Abbey.
Plus some smaller building societies such as Leeds, and also those local to your freind will often be able to help.
They will need a spotless credit record.
Large lifetime broker fees are a con. What if the firm are no longer around in years to come. This bsuiness model is always from the con artist salesy firms like Cartel. Also if there is little commission in the next deal, trust me the broker wont help, he'll just claim he has been unable to place the case so that massive fee was for nowt.
Your freinds are very gullible I fear.
Make sure they shop around for life insurance too as these firms thrive on high commissions.0 -

I agree.
I tried to tell them before they committed to anything about fee free whole of market, but they insisted this guy was recommended by the builder, so must be good.
Can take a horse to water and all that...just hate seeing them ripped off, so wanted to do some investigation before I went back to them.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

No list of lenders that offer homebuy mortgages on those sites. It's elusive information!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

There are threads from this month on mse about Homebuy, seems strange you can only find 08/09 references. As Homebuy can be more than just 'direct' it is more than the one flavour.
the links that beecher2 provided do mention lenders - Melton Mowbray BS being one of them.0
