    Congratulations carlsbergran!!

Also congratulations to boddy! That must feel great.

I've just got home from The Clothes Show in London DD and I had a briliant time, have shopped till we dropped - it's all very flowery, frilly and girly this year, so not all that much for me or DD, as neither of us does frilly! I did get a beautiful Italian handbag though, a sample, so probably a one-off. Dd found a couple of dresses, sunglasses and a top, and we bought all the magazines to get the goody bags, so have enough shampoo, conditioner and facemasks for the next year. I was extremely impressed by the catwalk show, it was fantastic.

It's been a very eventful week, so I'm hoping for a quieter time next week. Maybe a bit more flying. I should get the washing machine on Friday, and think we can just about get through till then - the end of the week will be non-stop washing. I shall have to buy more pegs!

Tea and bed - goodnight everyone.

YAY! I am now mortgage free. Went and paid it off this morning.

Top news Boddy - well done you! :j :T

And Carlsberggran - many congratulations on the safe arrival of little Chloe (update - I read it as Chloe, but now I look back you've typed it as Chole - either way, it's a lovely name!). I remember the angst that was around when the pregnancy was "diagnosed".

How brilliant you got to cut the chord. I never achieved that because I was at the wrong end during the birth of my two:)

I have flown of a sort today. And the chooks are trying to fly. It's quite amusing - they do a sort of hop skip and jump with a bit of furious flapping but then flop down v. soon. Reminds me of those bird man competitions where people jump off piers frantically trying to fly with great contraptions attached to their arms...

But I ought to go to bed.

DS is coming over just after 8am tomorrow (Sunday) with a friend. They are off paintballing and he asked very nicely if I'd do him and the friend a fried breakfast like I always did when he still lived here. I stupidly said yes.

But hey, it means I need to be up and dressed at a reasonable hour...

Thanks everyone - she's perfect. Soappie; I am that knackered I even managed to spell her name wrong! It's Chloe like you stated. She started tuesday teatime and had her thursday morning so lack of sleep is a big factor for all of us. Will try and catch up on a bit of the thread today. Boddy I see you are mortgage free - how fab, WTG you!

Congratulations carlsberg on the birth of your granddaughter.

Also congratulations to boddy for paying off your mortgage!

    Chickies are gorgeous soappie.

Most of Mount Washmore has been scaled this week, thanks to the lovely sunshine, and Moon and I doing about 3 loads each on our days off, so not too much to do on that front. Just need to strip the bed and wash the sheets, and then I can remake the bed.

I do need to sort the rest of the house out though, as it's my Birthday on Thursday, and I may have friends coming over, so need the house to look respectable. Am taking the day off on Thursday, cos I don't want to be working on my birthday, and it'll give me chance to get any last minute tidying done.

Although it's a pain having to carry around cash, as my card was eaten on Wednesday, it has made me think more before spending anything, and I managed to buy very little when it came to the food shop, as I'm getting creative with the ingredients I already had in.

Think I need to redo the freezer and cupboard inventory, as I'm sure I could save a bit on next week's shop if I do. Also if I sort out the freezer, I may have room to make some ice lollies with the makers I got last year from Lidl and have never used.

Does anyone know if the weather is meant to continue like this next week?

Well I must make the most of the fact that I'm up early for a Sunday, and get on with things. May do some baking today too, as I've had the eggs and ingredients for a while and haven't got around to doing anything with them. Moon is at my Nana's cutting the hedge back with my Mum, so he had to be up early, as my Mum has to get my Nana her breakfast each morning now as she can't cope on her own.

Hugs to all who need or want them.

    Morning all,

    Well done Boddy.:T

    Congratulations Carsberggal.

No flying except dailies to report for yesterday. We had a lovely day with my Sisters and Niece. We had a water fight, got soaked and had to put our clothes in the td. Except nev who hid inside.:p Then we had a go on singstar :o i kept forgetting what i was supposed to be singing and then we were laughing so much we couldn't sing. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It was great fun.

I think we're having a BBQ later on. So before that i need to do my dailies, get some compost, get a few bits from the Co-op, clear the washing & ironing baskets, clean the rabbits & make Ds1's sandwiches for the week. I want to spend the majority of the day in the garden so i'd better get a move on and get the boring stuff done first. I think i'll just have a quick coffee first.

I'm back after my week away and it was great!

Great week camping in the Lakes and I climbed up Hellvelyn on one day - along the ridges.

Now need to focus on my fitness to then tackle the highest one in England and will have climbed the top 3 mountains before moving on to Snowdonia and Ben Nevis

Unpacked yesterday and put everything away and 2 lots of WM, 3 more left for today, thats all for today as I am v.tired after the holiday!

Next aim is to save up for a new pair of walking boots as mine have started rubbing the skin off my heels for some reason

Hope everyone is ok on here, congrats to gran on your granddaughter - her name is beautiful as I'm sure she is

    Morning everyone.

Looks like another hot day here. Just going to potter in the house today. HHG and a HHI to do.

There is a street fair on so may have a walk around there and back. Its only 2 mins from the house so Im expecting a day of noise. Will be watching the football later.

Hugs for everyone specially Toots, Lady L and Diva.
