but whose idea was it to get married on the longest day?
    (and hence the shortest night;))[/QUOTE]

My Mum and Dad got married on 21st June :D

LL pass my best onto Diva please and I hope you have a fantabulous time at Glasto :)

Congratulations to Miss H's DD and Serena's DD :T

Gorgeous day out there, going to be a busy one here. Need to drop overnight stuff at SIL for Miss A and W for Friday night. Got the dentist this afternoon to see if anything needs doing to the 3/4 of tooth that remains! Depending on how long that takes we might have to g straight to swimming lessons AND from theer onto Scout Hut so Miss A can go and complete her athlete badge  Don't think we will get dinner until after 7pm so will have to sort snacks out as well.

First job speak to adoptive GP's about Friday after school.

ETA Message left, WM on and ebay sale about to be packed.

Morning all - funny one last night; was humping boxes of "for car-boot" and "for freecycle" stuff out of the dining room and messing about rejigging bits and pieces - for it had become a bit of a junk repository - worked for a couple of hours solid on it and lugged boxes endlessly before dinner, dragged out half the dining room furniture to sort it out and this morning the house looks like a bomb's hit it.

I hate work in progress stuff being "in progress" as it were........ :(

That's what I will mostly be doing tonight, then.

Enjoy the sunshine this day! :)

I'm going to do a HHC at 10 if anyome wants to join me?
  • Yeay-y-y! It's the bathroom today, and I so wanted it to be! (This is not sarcasm: this is the voice of a person who would like to take a bath later in a nice clean bath for once....)

Plus I cleaned my study last Sunday, so that means I can cross off most of those items straight away....

    :j:j:j

Off I go - a few dailies first then I'll start the cleaning at 10:30am for real.

    Back later...

Ha.. DD1's last exam this morning.. she got out of bed at.. 8:20!!!!!!!!! ... and the one time DD was running late.. did the school ring? NO.. FINALLY they got the message!! Actually it seemed very hit and miss about whether they bothered ringing or not.. not being preferable! And.. she never missed any exams through not being on time so what their issue was initially I have no idea. 2 hours of textiles sounds just DD1's thing lol.. 3 years ago!!!

I am in 2 minds whether to slink the sewing machine out and run up half a dozen flat crib sheets today.. other than it is too hot to move, I slept really badly last night so just want to sleep the day away and I have heaps of mess in the back room which i am trying to summon the energy and will to fling!

Bins emptied today so I have loads of room for junk.. esp. now the mess has gone from the front.. bar the manky CoD's I MUST get that sorted.. need to ring the council and they are stupid beyond words!

    List for today..

WM repair to sort.. ooh, I think you can do that online now.. I'll check..
    WM
    TD
    DW
    Laundry out, folded and away
    Binbag for CS
    Binbag for DS1 (bedding mainly)
Nag sis re stuff she wanted.
HHC in kitchen.. it isn't good in there!
HHC in back room.. half hour is better than nothing :D
