So near and yet so far

I'm 31, I've whittled down my student loan debt from its terrifying peak of £16.5K right down to a whisker over a grand. I have £664 on my credit card and am about £400 overdrawn. I've just started a £30K per annum job, which is substantially more than I've ever earned before.

I've worked so hard over the last three years to become debt-free and now that I'm nearly there it's as though these final months are the hardest of all. I'm spending a little bit more than I should, and it's prolonging my stay in the Valley of Debt.

I'm hoping to post a bit here and use it as a bit of an incentive to stay on the straight and narrow until everything is paid back and I'm saving a good chunk each month!
What's the point of growing up if you can't be childish sometimes?
