to clear or not to clear

as some of you will know, i won £1148.70 on william hill casino without having to spend anything. nw the money hasnt been paid in yet but im pretty confident it will as it said withdrawl succesfull.

now i have one loan outstanding of £750 with royal liver, which isnt due to be paid back till 2010, do yous reckon i should just clear it of just now ( no early re-payment penalty) and be debt free for the first time in years ? or shall i spend the money on some treats for myself ?

in the long run itl probably be best to clear it just now, but the excited kid in me wants to spend it on myself !

  • clear it :D you can spend the rest on yourself
  • Repay the debt!!!! It still leaves you with a few hundred to spend on frivolities. Treat yourself in the knowledge that you have ABSOLUTELY NO DEBT!!!! You lucky person you. :j

Yep, I agree with all the others, Kenny. You will be debt-free (which will be fab!:T ) and I bet if you had "just" won 400 with WH you would have been pretty pleased - try to think of it as a 400 win for no money down and you won't feel so hard done by...:p

Also, going forward you now owe nothing to anybody - so any money you have left over at the end of the month (once the bills are paid, of course! ) is all yours to do as you like with...every month from now on - now that can't be a bad feeling!?!;)
