Mortgage for wood framed house ?

Hi all.

New bloke here !

We want to sell out 1832 semi-detached cottage in Kent :rotfl:and have our eye on a 1930s wooden-framed bungalow in the middle of nowhere !

It is wooden framed with weather boards on the outside and plasterboard on the inside. Santander (our current mortgage lender) doesn't want to know, and am having a job finding someone who does want to lend us some money ! I don't think it's an equity problem (we have loads, luckily), it's a wooden house issue !

Any thoughts ?

Thanks !
