Ive heard keratase is great for your hair but seems over priced. Does anyone here use it and think its worth it? Ive seen it a bit cheaper online but still expensive.

I used the shampoo in the past, but cant say I noticed much difference. However I would recommend their heat protect (Thermique*......?) stuff its expensive but miles better than similar products and you only use a tiny amount, 1/4 of what you think you might need.0

If you have "hair issues" I'd reccomend Kerastase products, I use them when I'm feeling flush.
I love the hair mask for very dry hair - its the best thing I've ever used -i'm a self confessed "hair junkie" so have tried quite a few.
The thing to remember when using premium products is that you only need a tiny bit as the stuff is much more concerntrated than the high street stuff.
Personally I'd say that kerastase stuff is much better than anything you'll ever buy in a chemist, and well worth the outlay if you can justify spending about £30 on a shampoo and hair mask.0 -
I'd rate the masques- fantastic and the treatments and leave in conditioners.
But the shampoos faded my colour (even the colour safe version) the conditoners were OK but had I not been given them as a gift or got them v.cheaply on ebay I'd have been miffed that I'd paid so much for them! Better then the highstreet and a lovely scent but not worth the price, they need to reduce it by 50% I think.0 -

Hi, this is what I am thinking of getting as I noticed my cousin had got it in the bathroom when I was there the other day. Its about £17.00 but you can get it for £13.00 on a website I found recently. Do you know if it acts as a leave in conditioner aswell? Whatever, if you only need a tiny bit then it will be worth the money. I could use it with a cheaper or mid priced shampoo. I don't mind paying about £7.00 for a premium shampoo but I think the Keratase ones do seem a lot for a shampoo.0 -

The Thermique (either Nectar or Ciment) are both leave ins (not to be used as a wash out conditioner!) Both are excellent but the Nectar Thermique (white one) is the better one IMO.
Protects against the heat, not so amazing at controlling frizz but hair feels v.soft and smells really pretty and fresh/clean!0 -
my mum got me the thermique and the masquinece (?) for Xmas - slightly spoilt with the line of 'well your hair is so damaged someone has to do something'!!
I am just down to the last months worth now - so whilst expensive initially they really do last.
I can honestly say they have made such a huge difference to my hair I almost have no choice but to fork out and replace them! and my mum was right my hair was in an awful state.
I would definately recommend0 -
Hi it does sound worth it, what shampoo do you use with it?0

I just use whatever volumising shampoo is on offer - my hair is very fine. I like aussie atm (3 4 2 at tesco).
the thermique i use after every wash (every 2 days) as I straighten after every wash and the masque... every 3rd wash and leave it on while washing and defuzzing so it stays for at least 2 mins.0 -
Not a very constructive post, but I've heard amazing things about Keratese!
Have you tried eBay? Sometimes its good for haircare, although postage often outweighs the cheapness of it all.:j Comping Newbie :j

I have bought a bottle of Keretase shampoo once and I thought it was great. As others have said you only need to use a small amount and the bottle lasts for ages. I bought the shampoo from the hairdressers I used to go to but times are hard lately and I have changed hairdressers. If you can afford it then give the products ago.0
