prob best contacting yer MP then and explain the situation to them m8, but as said earlier if u struggling to pay £36 a month then you seriuosly need to look at finding another job or to cut back on things
nobody on this board is here to judge you, just give you realistic advice, as said by other posters it wont go away, you need to seek help ASAP0 -
Hi FZNUK
Firstly, did you make an arrears agreement with a case offer for the £12 p/mth or just start paying it off your own back? If you made an arrears agreement then it will have been done without prejudice and so they will regularly contact you to see if your financial position has changed i.e. are you able to increase your payments. If you didn't actually make an arrears agreement then because the amount you are paying back will take more than 2 years to clear the outstanding debt they will more than likely be considering enforcement action.
The CSA will be looking to clear the debt as quickly as possible, hence them asking if you have friends/family who can help. I would say the only way to prevent any possible enforcement action would be to either attempt to clear the arrears in one lump sum, or, increase your monthly payment to clear what you owe in 2 years.
Sorry the news isn't better, just letting you know how they will go about things.:o0 -

No I appreciate the advice, and while i wish i could pay it off in one lump sum this isnt really an option for me. as for the person saying i should cut back more...again, with other debts on top i am just getting by...without any luxuries and a low income at the time being.
Getting another job, well, nothing around here for me and current financial situation wont let me move.
But, i suppose, if they are just trying it on and seeing if my financial situation has altered then fine. I think i should just ignore the calls and demand everything in writing...even tape the calls (telling them first of course) since i know they use dark tactics when calling and denying it all when written.
Another thing is i suppose if they threaten anyone with nothing else to lose what will that achieve? I will never go quietly when cornered... bailiffs have nothing here of value to take, got no savings or property...cant afford a holiday so welcome to the passport... freezing my account is only freezing negative balance.....so prison? Bit drastic when the new government are looking at avoiding this....and for £2K debt?? Would then love to drag it through the media etc...
Just gonna wait for the next letter and see what happens...then i will just reply with my current income status.0
