maybe you could charge him rent?
  • Okay

I think the bear will stay (for now). So, any ideas as to how I can get debt free?

Dont keep him if he's just a bear, but if someone special bought him for you, you could regret it if you sell him.

Where is the car boot. I'm gonna come and give him a new home :j
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
  • Bless you Spud30. I was going to place it on ebay as similar ones to mine have gone for between £40, £75 and £95 in the last couple of weeks.

I think I bought the bear for £20 in 1993. Yesterday I threw away my first ever teddy (a few tears were shed) that my parents gave me when I was a baby. It only had 1 eye, one arm and two stiff legs. So if I can get rid of that then I suppose I have just answered my own question......

Can I have some suggestions for clearing my debts too please?

No - don't sell the bear. By all means sell some books and DVDs and maybe some of your furniture and electrical goods, if you bought top of the range-type stuff. You won't miss that.

Your essential spending is well sorted out, but your house and garden spending and food shopping are way over the top for one person. I think you need to concentrate on keeping the house clean and the garden tidy and spend no more on either for the time being. And pop over to the Old Style board for advice on meal planning, cheap shopping and recipes, etc.

The other thing to consider is whether you really, truly need a car. Could you walk, cycle, or bus to and from the metro? If so, you could sell the car, pay off some of the debt and reduce your monthly outgoings in one fell swoop.
