Hello all

Hello all.

Another newbie has arrived. This site has been so inspiring and made me and my other half feel so much better in ourselves that i had to write this thread to say thanks to you all.

There has been so much good advice and support it is un-real. In a society where so many are wrapped up in their own little worlds, a society where the government and companies are all trying to make you spend your money to boost their profits, it's really humbling to think there are others out there who want to help each other and stick 2 fingers up to these selfish people.

Me and my wife have only been visiting this web site for a few weeks and i wish i had heard about it earlier. To cut a long story short we are up to our eyeballs in it (50,000 ish and with no mortgage as we rent). We eventually opted for an IVA, which has reduced it to 38,000, which is a blessing in itself. Been running now for 3 months and already the debt is down to just over 36,000. It is great to see it reducing, and i now know how some of the people on this site feel, the smile has returned to our faces and we are beginning to get back on our feet. We have set a weekly budget as a monthly one didn't seem to work, we even just have enough to enjoy ourselves once or twice a month. Christmas is fast approaching ( i know it's scary to think where has the year gone) but we can budget and plan ahead.

The release of pressure and stress is overwhelming and i can only thank people like yourselves for advice and encouragement over the last few weeks. Reports on the TV and in newspapers show that this is a growing problem and with price rises up the yingyang it is only going to get worse.

Again i thank you all.
