Making a home-made secure money box

Options
Right, I'm going to join the £2 coin savers club, as I figure this should go up quite quickly.
The thing is, what can I use to save them in? I want something that I literally have to break open before I can empty it. I won't trust myself with something I can easily access. Once it's in I want it to stay in!!! :rotfl:

Any ideas?
Only when the last tree has died
and the last river has been poisoned
and the last fish has been caught
will we realise we cannot eat money

How about a biscuit tin, with the coin hole cut into the lid and the lid superglued on?
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

    Completely off topic.

PabloNeruda - was just thinking about Pablo today. Thought I'd dig out a book and have a good read. Somehow I haven't come across your posts before.

Sorry - you can return to the topic now.

I am renowned for going off at tangents.

Though I have superglued the lid onto an old honey jar for mine (having cut a hole in the lid). I'll have to smash the jar to get into it. Only thing is - I'm keeping the coins out of circulation for everyone else (not that I have many - see below) I'm thinking about putting the equivalent in the bank and keeping a virtual tally.

I got a pigsback piggy for free. Then personalised it with a couple of stickers.

Get creative and blow up a balloon then make a papier mache one around it. Cut a slot in the top and hey presto :T

    He was wonderful, wasn't he?

    Ahem........

I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair.
Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets.
Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day
I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.

I hunger for your sleek laugh,
your hands the color of a savage harvest,
hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails,
I want to eat your skin like a whole almond.

I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body,
the sovereign nose of your arrogant face,
I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes,

and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight,
hunting for you, for your hot heart,
like a puma in the barrens of Quitratue.

    I'm welling up now.:kisses2:

how about getting one of those
    spannish ? clay money pots
    that only have a slot
    and you have to smash
to get the cash ( it's all getting a bit poetic around here )
so the coins stay in safe and sound
and when it's full you have plenty of pound(s)

    Heh heh. Very good. :T

That would be ideal, but it looks like I'll be opting for the superglue an biscuit tin solution.

Hi Pablo- looking forward to the "How do I get into a biscuit tin with the lid super-glued on?" thread :rotfl: Best wishes
