Is Debt Management Plan the best way ?

Hello All,
Glad to meet you, at last some where I can maybe get a few answers from people who know and have been through ths situation.
I have debt which has now got to the dizzy hight of about £22,000
I havebeen paying credit cards and store cards for years but not really getting anywhere with then as you never really do what with all the interest on each card it's a never never world ! So I have got to the point now where my outgoings are more than my income and I am needed some help, I have looked into the Debt Management plan which would be a relief to just pay one payment and know where you are each month, but then I think well my loan finishes in Feb 2011 and I can then pay more toward my cards and try to get out of this without getting a really bad credit scoring as I have my house up for sale at the moment and when it is sold I will use the eqity to pay debt off and then I would like to get another mortgage, so the concern is that I will not be able to do this.
I want more than anything to get on the right road, be debt free, be able to save and never ever, ever have another credit or store card in my life ! Any advise would be a great benefit to me.
Thank you all for your time. :A

Hi:hello:
Going on a DMP will impact your credit rateing big time:(
But if it is the best way use one of these Non-profit Debt Counsellors' List
Sometimes that might not be needed, just a tweak of your budget, if you post your income and outgoings on here the good and clever will have a look
use this http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
