Hi im a first time buyer and looking into getting a mortgage some time soon but i need a little help. i have been working for my current employer for almost 12months now but this was through an agency, i applied for the job that i was doing through the agency and got it and my start date is monday 21st june. Will the mortgage people look at this as starting a new job? and will i have to wait 6 months before they will give me a mortgage?
I would be greatful for any information anyone could give me!
Thanks

Is the probation six months? Some do and some might accept three months, you'd best check with a mortgage adviser. Remember the six month rule is there to protect you as well as the bank, if they get rid of you then you couldn't pay the mortgage and I doubt a redundancy policy would help

yes i think it is 6 months! so looks like they will class it as me starting a new job even tho ive been there almost 12month
was hoping they may have looked at it differently. i guess its another 6months of hard saving then 0
