CV & uni stuff

I've just finished my first year of uni. Due to some issues I've been having, I will be doing a course with the open university in January. Until then, I will be job hunting.

On my CV, what do write in the qualifications section about what I've basically done in the last year? I pssed 3/4 modules. Do I just list the modules I took?

I wouldn't bother putting down the modules I had done, I guess it depends what job your going for and if they are relevant, for example if you were doing history and going for a shelf stacker job the no, but if maybe if you were doing teaching and going for a childcare job then maybe yes.

I wouldn't be putting anything personally, you haven't gained any qualifications in the past year. 3/4 modules means nothing, it isn't a degree.

On your CV you should always account for what you have been doing since leaving school until the present date, so if you have spent a year studying at University X put that in the career history section. However, you can't put anything in the qualifications section as University modules are not a qualification

Yes, I agree, that's what I did. I had 19 mths off when I was caring for someone, and was doing my open uni degree p/t.

On my CV I just put career break with dates, and a sentence saying what I did (cared for relative and finished degree). Didn't update qualifications section as was awaiting result.

Agencies/employers just want an explanation for gaps I found.
