Need some help for money idea

I plan to post some flyerfor computer repairs. Most peoples problems are software based and i feel i have the know and knowledge to fix problems and update computers. Any ideas on what should be included in the flyer and prices?

Thanks

I thought I would throw another idea in the pot...

I use a local guy to whom I pay a monthly standing order and then I contact him if or when I have problems with the PC. I think he has in the region of 500 local customers and has decided to cap it there as that number gives him a full-time workload.

This is a business model that will give you a degree of regular and passive income, although it is more of a commitment than taking on ad hoc repairs.

I feel he could easily charge more than he does - he charges only £5pm per PC or laptop plus £1.50pm for each subsequent PC or laptop in the same household. I have been with him for about 8 years. I would be happy to pay double this for the peace of mind it gives me and the service he provides.

    May be worth considering.

Bloggymum, if something does go wrong with your PC, is the repair covered in that £5 a month if it is just a software/virus issue? and then an additional charge if its hardware related or needs a new part???

    Thanks

What I would like is a service whereby someone would come to my house and show me how to do certain things on MY computer.
I have been on several courses at the local library (around £70 for 10 weeks) but some of what they teach you only works on THEIR computers, because every computer is different.
    Hope that makes sense!

I really like the idea of the service, what will he do exactly?
Is it just software or would it be hardware also?

Might get the odd tip as well? and if it is hardware he could over-charge as it were?
