Littlewoods online loan/credit

Hi, i wasn't sure where to post this. Hope this is the right place..

Anyway, i want to apply for a littlewoods account, so i can pay for an item in installments. Does anyone know the requirements to obtain the credit and how much it is for?

I have tried looking on their site, but can't find this info.

Thanks

I think it's pretty easy to get an account because of it's stupidly high APR.

I got account when I first turned 18 with a limit off £1500.

If you do make an order make sure you use the 'take 3 installments' pay over 3 months and no interest :)

    Good luck!

Criteria is that of a credit card, no defaults or CCJs and a relatively good credit rating. Catalogues are not scored as hard as a credit card and thus will be easier to get. So long as you have a fairly good history with no defaults, recent missed payments, you should be approved instantly, given a limit and able to shop right away.

Some will be referred and require bills to send in, but this is for a borderline case where instant acceptance cannot be made for reasons of credit scoring or an inability to verify identity online.

As for limits - completely depends on the individual.

You can be given between £200 to £5000 as an initial limit.

Littlewoods / Very do offer very good deals occasionally with discount codes and buy now pay later on items. Plus if you have limited credit history it can be an avenue to build a good history quite quickly.

WAS easy a few years ago, but things have changed due to the credit crunch - all credit is harder to get and limits reduced - catalogue accounts included.

Hmm, not really true - if you pay for things over 20/52 weeks then its interest free!

I've got a Very account £1,000 limit initially, when I used the account with a £200 purchase, they upped the limit to £1,300.

Whilst the APR is high, mine is 34.9%, the 2 purchases I have made have both been on buy now pay in 12 months, which is a regular offer. I have already paid off my purchases well before the 12 months is over.

Many people think these sort of accounts are expensive and not worth having, but my purchases have cost me no more than anywhere else in shops/online. In addition I've had 12 months to pay them off.

I am a loyal customer of the shop direct group, simply because they offer interest free credit, buy now pay later and loads of discounts.

If I have to pay £20 more for a washing machine from Littlewoods then so be it, I get free delivery, a full year to pay for it interest free or low monthly installments - cash flow, more cash in my back sky.:)

Edit: I forgot to add they reward their loyal customers with random deals which are not available to new customers so once you have been with them for a year or so you will benefit.

yes they are more money than going to the shops but i dont mind payiing the extra twenty quid or so as i would not be able to get large items otherwise

Well I've got a Choice catalogue and a £2,300 limit and I got accepted with bankruptcy data still on:eek: But the bankruptcy was over 5 year's old, so maybe they only want 3 years credit history? I'm very confused really, but have had some good offers from them. When I cleared my account to a nil balance, they said as a 'thank you' I could have £30 off my next order.

Also, they do offer loans but that isn't something I'd go near again:o
