Went BR on Tuesday, opened a Barclays account today. The lady handling it was very nice -- said her sister was bankrupt so she sympathised
Later on (and independently of this) Mercers called on behalf of Barclaycard. (They've called a million times but I'm only now answering the phone.) I told the guy I was BR and he was really nice about it
So, it's not all bad news

Ha! The Barclaycard guy just called back because he forgot to ask me a question. He was really apologetic and kept saying "I'm so sorry to disturb you again". Aww

Mortgage free since 2014

Had a call from the Cooperative Bank last night. Not only were they really nice they tried to get me to open a cashminder account, even though they were one of my biggest creditors

unusual for the co-op they changed t&c's a while ago meaning past debts you wouldnt be allowed to open an acc with themWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Thats good to hear about the Coop Wolfers. You're right - a lot of creditors are good about bankruptcy and play fair but not all are like that. I'm still having trouble with Clydesdale Bank and I've been discharged for 15 months! They have just sent me to collections!

That's good to hear Wolfers, although I am very surprised that Mercers were so good. They have been a nightmare for my husband, along with Barclays Partner Finance, he now has formal complaints going through the FLA and FOS!!0
