CITI Finance continue to apply interest.

Hope someone can help.

I am on a DMP with CCCS and one of my creditors is Citi Cards Financial Europe part of the Citi Group. They have refused the offer CCCS have made to them. They have continued to apply interest and in the past 2 months the account has accrued £850 in interest and next month they have forecast another £400. This is only compounding my debt.

Has anyone else encountered similar problems with CITI and how was it resolved

I am aware creditors do not have to stop interest but is there a way of getting them to stop.

Any help is appreciated I am desperate. Should I ask them to take me to court so a judge can make a ruling or ask them to hand it off to a Debt Collection Agency. Should I write.

Please please somebody help me.

Regards

    maybe?

You may want to ask for a time order if an arrears notice or a default notice has been issued but the creditor is refusing either to accept your offer of payment, or to freeze the interest. If interest is still being added on to the debt and the creditor refuses to take court action then applying for a time order may be the only way to ask for the interest to be frozen. If the court makes a time order and you keep up to date with the payments, a creditor cannot apply for a county court judgment to be made.

I would make an official complaint to the OFT,trading standards & the financial ombudsman.
Also make a complaint to CITI themselves & exhaust their complaints procedure.
They have no legal power to add on all this interest.

I have drafted a letter to the following people to highlight my plight and the unsympathetic approach the bank is taking towards me. I have asked if they will intervene and ask the bank to suspend charges.

I am hoping that this may work but I am not sure.
